The Materials Economy

http://storyofstuff.org/wp-content/uploads/movies/scripts/Story%20of%20Stuff.pdf

Stuff moves through a system... from extraction to production to distribution to consumption to disposal. All together, it’s called the materials economy.  We are using too much stuff.

Overstand

Let me make it clear | I don't care for religion | But you're still my brother | No matter your decision | A blonde haired, blue eyed God is overrated | Hear me now | I'm not attracted to the picture that you've painted | And though I'm young and I have much to learn | But faith without reason makes me concerned | Believing in one God, I'm gonna stand firm | For your own benefit yes you work to deceive | So I'm a put your foolishness under my feet | Be aware of the games of society..

Going Home

In pursuit of dreams, we've traveled far, across the globe into distant lands - reaching new heights and learning much along the way. We braved hostile seas, snow and sand, challenged and triumphed over adversity. Bearing witness today, are the evidences of our scars.

Piece of the pie

It is only when we choose profits and consumerism over humanity that our people cease to flourish… giving way to stress and strife. Like other nations, Jamaica has been sufficiently endowed; having within her clasp, ample resources, given fair distribution to all its citizens. "Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed" -- Mahatma Gandhi.

Jamaican Proverbs

Many timeless Jamaican proverbs and Jamaican sayings that have been handed down through generations. Our proverbs are thought to contain the essence of wisdom... wisdom which came through experience... experience which came from making mistakes; and may be largely a record of our predecessor's mistakes, distilled to a single phrase, and turned into an example for generations to come.

More than wood and water

There is an awesome energy on the island of Jamaica, you can feel it resonate from the earth every time you go there, not sure if it’s because you’re on the edge of a tectonic plate or the mountains have greater magnetism than other places on earth. Those who don't learn how to channel the energy seem to end up expressing it in violence, aggression or sexual vulgarity – but the real beauty comes through the people who learn to channel it creatively and with love; it leads to awesome results, genius even.

Getting Unstuck

God invested Himself in each of us: I would call that an absolute act of trust. He made us from the essence of Himself, (in His image) and further endowed us with His breath. He then gave us dominion over all the earth and over our lives. It is always helpful in this practice to remember that we are made from God stuff -- with all the intelligence, wisdom and understanding of God. Never allow yourself to believe otherwise.

So, let us continue to powering this universe with a plethora of conscious lyrics. Give Reggae "LIFE" and let our music have a profound impact on humanity, inspiring activism and raising social consciousness across continents.

Aim for the sun

If we all run and hide in our fears, who will be left to challenge the opponent? Regrettably, like Job in the bible, whatever we most fear is likely to become our worse nightmare. Fear can only be overcome by faith and love. By taking action to combat that fear, we walk through it. Only when we chase our dreams, can you begin to taste them.
